Yes, we suggest you do. We do not offer domain purchase as part of our subscription package so, to make life easy for you, we would suggest simply leaving it where it is.
When you are ready to go live with your website you would simply need to access your Control Panel details in order configure your external settings, and "point" your domain to our Platform.
